Virtually every neurological and mental health issue manifests in sleep-wake dysregulation (Garcia-Rill, 2019). Therapists who evaluate, support and enhance function are constantly questioned by their clients “How do I help myself or my child sleep better?” This lunch and learn session will focus upon the science of sleep and its impact upon regulation.
Participants will be able to:
Describe the science of sleep and its connection to regulation
List 2 treatment strategies and tools for sleep as a contribution to dysregulation
11:30 am - 12:00 pm: Science of Sleep
12:00 pm - 12:30 pm: Treatment strategies and tools
For the live interactive sessions: Within one week of the course, the participant will be emailed a certificate of attendance following confirmation of attendance and completion of the self-evaluation.
For recorded session viewing: Following the passing score of 80% on the post-course quiz, the participant will be sent a course completion certificate.
